Inspired by the Dutch roots woven through my childhood in Western Michigan this collection is also shaped by a Dutch friend, an inspired quilter whose guidance and hand-carved stamps became part of the patterns themselves. “Western Shore” is a nod to the shores of Michigan, while “Northern Shore” reaches across the water to the Netherlands, two landscapes connected by friendship, memory, and making.
