Acrylic and Oil on Canvas
18 ”x 24”
I once went wandering in the wood
alone, without a guide.
I walked in circles, lost in thought
until a hill I spied.
A jeweled slope of moss and light,
where wildflowers softly sighed.
Upon it sat a welcomed sight,
a place where I could hide.
Its door aglow, it called me in,
and chased my fears away.
A home so safe, so sanctified
In shelter, I will stay.
